Growing Your Eyebrows Thicker: Simple Ways to Do So

written by Star March 2, 2019

Looking at recent fashion trends, it is evident that thick eyebrows are the in-thing. Almost everyone from runway models, your next door neighbour, and celebrities are sporting well-shaped thick eyebrows. Beauticians claim that fuller arches enhance your looks, taking a few years off the face. If you are struggling with sparse and thin eyebrows, you might be feeling some type of way. Thankfully, it is not a look you will be forced to deal with your entire life. There are a couple of things listed below you can try out to enjoy fuller, thicker, eyebrows.

Table of Contents

  • Avoid Eyebrow Grooming for Sometime
  • Coating the Eyebrows
  • Eat Healthy Foods
  • Comb the Eyebrows Daily
  • Exfoliate the Brow Region
  • Conclusion

Avoid Eyebrow Grooming for Sometime

Did you know that brows can take as much as one year to fully grow in? For faster results, you need to “abandon” the brows for at least 3 months. This is because the first few weeks of eyebrow growth are usually the most challenging. During this period forget about threading, waxing, plucking, or any other grooming technique. Use eyebrow powder, pencil, or concealer to fill in patches.  It also helps to concentrate on other areas of your face at this time. You can use the andis headliner combo to clip and trim your hair to keep it looking good.

Coating the Eyebrows

There are numerous home remedies to explore, if you want to grow thicker eyebrows naturally. One of the techniques that works for many is using natural oils to coat the brows overnight. Oils you can work with include: castor oil, olive oil, or coconut oil. Wash your face before bedtime and apply any of the oils on the eyebrows. Massage the oils in the area for about 5 minutes. Leave this on all night and use warm water to rinse it off in the morning. Other options you can use include:

  • Egg yolk.
  • Onion juice.
  • Whole milk.
  • Aloe Vera.
  • Lemon.
  • Petroleum jelly.

Eat Healthy Foods

Your diet can also affect the way your eyebrows grow. It is advisable to eat foods that are rich in biotin. This is a vitamin that has been known to promote hair growth. These include things like: peanuts, avocados, eggs, and salmon. Vitamins D and B are also important because they affect internal organs and physical appearance as well. A diet that is rich in Vitamins D & B can enhance the growth of strong eyebrows that will fight effects chemical based products.

Comb the Eyebrows Daily

Combing eyebrows on a daily basis helps to stimulate growth. Use a spoolie brush that you can easily get in various beauty stores. Remember to do this as gently as possible so that it imitates the massaging process. Brushing these hairs stimulates the capillaries. This increase the transportation of nutrients, blood circulation, and oxygen to the bulb, root, and stem of the hair.  This will also work to your advantage because it helps to manage unruly eyebrows.

Exfoliate the Brow Region

Another method that has been tried and tested is the exfoliation the eyebrow area. This works in a similar manner as brushing because it stimulates follicles which, in turn, results in growth. You can either make a scrub at home or purchase one with beneficial ingredients. Cleanse your face first before getting into the exfoliating process. From here you can apply the scrub on the eyebrows and the skin around. Massage the scrub in a circular motion for a couple of minutes before rinsing off the product. Ensure there is no product residue on the brows. Repeat this 3 times weekly.

Conclusion

For your eyebrows to grow fuller and thicker, they need to be in an environment that encourages growth. In essence, nourishing and hydrating the skin well will give you the results you desire.
